Police in Nakasseke  district have detained  a cow which kicked its owner to death .

Robert Kafeero a resident of Kyanakachwa village ,was killed by  his cow  on Thursday  this week as he  was trying to milk it.

Residents said for a some  time ,Kafeero was milking   the detained cow even after it lost its calf shortly after it was delivered .

He always made use of a hide in a form of a statue to make the cow think that its calf was at its side .This ,he always did when in the dark such that the cow fail to notice the hide .

However ,on the fateful day ,February 14th , Valentines Day Kafeero woke up late  and tried to do the same .The cow noticed the hide since it was already 8am and kicked Kafeero to death .

The cow had already become wild after the death of its calf,according to residents.

Central East Police spokesman Lameck Kigozi confirmed the tragedy and said that the detained cow will be handed back to the deceased’s family.
