After the death of her boyfriend, David Wilson, country singer, Mindy McCready has been ordered to go to rehab.

Although she denies having a hand in the death of her boyfriend, Wilson, during court hearing, she admitted to using alcohol in excess because of the pain she had to endure. “He was my life. We were each other’s life…I have never gone through anything this painful. He didn’t just touch my heart, he touched my soul. He was my soulmate,” she said.

As she attends rehab, her two sons have been taken away from her home in Arkansas.

The court reached the decision after an emergency hearing, Wednesday which was called by her family members as they were worried about her health. McCready may be in rehab for up to 21 days. The death of Wilson was reported as a suicide by gunshot although investigations are still going on.

Wilson was the father of McCready’s younger son, Zayne, who is 10 months old. Elder son Zander, from a previous relationship, is 6 years old. Both boys are currently in the custody of the Department of Human Services in Arkansas.

McCready’s past includes numerous arrests, a suicide attempt, and an appearance on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew in 2010.
