Police in Lamwo district have arrested the Councilor of Ogili Sub County for allegedly stealing properties worth 2 Million shillings.

The Lamwo police Officer in charge, Cossy Opunu said that they are still investigating the matter adding that Lutara will be charged this week in court.

Opunu said that the incidence happened last Wednesday and since then James Lutara, the suspect has been hiding.

He explained that among the items Lutara allegedly stole were a computer, two mobile phones, cloths, 62,400 shillings that was kept in the resources house among others. The properties have been keptĀ  at Lamwo police station as investigations continue.
