Jose Chameleone has come out and confronted rumors that he ran away despite having been acquitted of charges of murdering Robert Karamagi to say that he just shifted from the home which everyone knew.
Chameleone was involved in a murder investigation involving the death of one Robert Karamagi who was allegedly killed at his home. Earlier reports suggested that Karamagi had gone to Chameleone’s home to steal and kill his wife, Daniella Atim Mayanja but by mistake, he poured fuel on himself and set himself on fire. He later died from his injuries but that was after he said people from Chameleone’s home had tortured him and forcibly poured the petrol on him before setting him on fire. Witnesses attested to this fact which deepened police investigations.
However, Chameleone was acquitted of all charges but recently disappeared from the Seguku home where the horror took place. However, the musician did not run away from home as earlier on insinuated, he just shifted to Muyenga.
Writing on his Facebook wall, Chameleone said, “My security and that of my family was compromised in Seguku. Therefore it was prudent to acquire another place as the security issues at Seguku got fixed. Again this will allow for the renovation work that has been going on at Seguku for the last 4 months get finished more efficiently. Leone Island family, introducing my new hut in Muyenga…”
According to Chameleone’s manager, Sam Mukasa, the house in Muyenga is one of the musician’s houses which he bought under his business company, ‘Chameleone Investments’.
