Cattle Keepers in Amuru district have discovered a gun from the bush where they had gone to graze their cows.

The gun was discovered along with a Sudanese number plate of a car along the Atiaba River in Pabbo sub County in Amuru district.

Christopher Ojer the chairman LC III for Pabbo sub County who is also the secretary for security in the sub County confirmed the incident.

Ojera said that they are suspecting that the gun might have been used by high way thieves along the road to southern Sudan.

He said that they were investigating the matter and that they will come out with their finding as soon as possible.

He also noted that there were still a number of highway thieves which need to be stopped.

Nobody has yet been arrested following the discovery of the gun.
