The by-election in Butaleja election has kicked off.There are at least 12 polling centres and a  few people were seen lining up to vote early but many people are expected to turn up in a  hot  by-election to replace the late Hon Cerina Nebanda.

Election materials were delivered on Sunday morning and were heavily guarded overnight with representatives of different camps.

The Butaleja Woman MP seat fell vacant after the death of Cerinah Nebanda . Florence Nebanda is sister to the deceased and is thought to have the biggest support.

There are five candidates contesting  for the seat of Butaleja Woman MP.Other candidates include ; Betty Hamba (Independent), Felista Namwihiri (FDC) and Perusi Munaba (Independent), Florence Nebanda Andiru (NRM) and Sarah Annet Logose (Independent).
