A bomb explosion killed one person and led five others critically injured in Nakaseke district .The unexpected explosion occurred near Kaweweta Army Training School on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson for central Uganda, Lamec Kigozi, told the press that the device suspected to be a bomb exploded as six men were burning charcoal.
“The six were burning charcoal. They were shocked when the device went off due to excessive heat. The device exploded killing one person on spot and injuring five others,” said Kigozi.
All the victims were rushed to Nakaseke Hospital in critical condition.
Security officials police suspected that the bomb could have been left behind by soldiers during training and exploded as a result of the heat from the charcoal burning.
