Beyonce’s HBO Documentary ‘Beyonce: Life is But a Dream’ has so far drawn 1.8 million viewers since its premiere on Saturday.

HBO Documentaries has said this is the highest rating for a documentary in about 10 years.

In the documentary, Beyonce revealed to the world her one year old daughter, Blu Ivy Carter and also told the world about her miscarriage, something most did not know about the 31-year-old singer.

Despite the hits, The New York Times said the documentary “comes off less as an autobiography than a song-and-dance defense brief.”

The documentary was directed and produced by Beyonce herself.
