The S.6 UACE results were released yesterday by the ministry of education minister, Jessica Alupo with a passing rate of 99.3%, an increment from the previous year, 2011 which had a passing rate of 99.2%.
More Arts students sat for the A’level examinations where girls excelled more than boys; boys performed better in Science subjects. Results of 404 students were withheld due to suspected examination malpractice and the Uganda examination board, Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is carrying out investigations to prove if indeed there was malpractice of any kind.
As usual, there were certain schools which managed to perform better than the rest and below is the list of some of the best performing schools in the country.
