Motorcycle riders in Arua are celebrating the fulfillment of President Museveni’s  pledge of 50 Million shillings.

President Museveni made the pledge during the National Youth day celebrations in Arua last year.

The Arua district ‘Boda Bodas’ SACCO chairperson, Thomson Eguma said that they have reliable information that the 50 Million shillings has been sent into their account.

Eguma said that all the members will benefit from the money through different ways.

He said that more of the money will go into a Saccos they had formed earlier .

The Arua Resident District commissioner Ibrahim Abiriga welcomed the idea saying that it is one of the ways to help the youth to become self employed.

He also encouraged the Boda-Boda group in Arua district to avoid misusing the money saying that it is a one time opportunity.
