Anne Hathaway has won Best Supporting Actress at the 85th Academy Awards, Oscars 2013 for her role in Les Miserables.
Hathaway featured in the musical as Fantine for 15 minutes. While receiving the award, Hathaway fought back tears as she said “it came true”. She thanked her husband and everyone who worked on the film. She managed to beat Sally Field, Helen Hunt, Amy Adams and Jacki Weaver who were also nominated for the award.
Adele also managed to win Best Original Song for James Bond 23rd movie, Skyfall and coupled it with a live performance of the song.
Christoph Waltz won the first award of the night, best supporting actor, for his role in Django Unchained and thanked his character and “to his creator and the creator of his awe-inspiring world, Quentin Tarantino”. He beat off competition from Alan Arkin, Robert De Niro, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Tommy Lee Jones.
The awards took place Sunday 24th and were hosted by Seth MacFarlane.
