The Agung village LC I Chairman in Unyama Parish Justine Toorach has reported the death of a 60 year old woman who slid and drowned in a river.

The 60 year old woman identified as Aber Colina  slid and drowned in the stream on Thursday evening  as she was coming from the neighbor across the stream to ask for some salt.

The bridge which covers Agung stream is made of logs which have never been easy for children and old people to use.

Her body was retrieved from the river and will be buried today.

Toorach also called on the local residents in Unyama not to wait for the sub county authorities to work on the bridge saying that he will mobilize people as soon as Aber is buried so that the Bridge is rehabilitated.
