30 children previously smuggled into South Sudan to do petty work ranging from selling on streets to cleaning homes have been discovered.
The children who are said to be aged 15 years and below are said to be smuggled by a man who was only identified as Bukenya. At the moment, the children are being kept are a police station in South Sudan pending bringing them back to Uganda.
They were discovered by Emmanuel Kaboga who said the children do not even know they are being used for money. The children are said to be smuggled from Masaka district, Kayunga, among others.
