A 20 year old man identified as Bonny Opio, a resident of Bar-dege division in Gulu Municipality has been arrested for indecently assaulting a 90 year old woman.

James Asubu the police officer in charge said that the suspect Opio is said to have entered through the roof of the old woman’s grass thatched hut at around 2:00am last night and assaulted the woman who was alone in the hut.

Asubu said that a neighbor of the old woman told them that they heard the 90 year old woman screaming in a frail voice as if she was being strangled.

Asubu maintained that the woman’s door was forced open and Opio was allegedly found on top of her.

Opio will be charged with indecent assault, threatening violence and taking drugs .His case has been registered under CRB no.488/2013.
