Richard Turere a  13  year  old Kenyan Boy has become a hero after inventing a method of saving cows from being  eaten up by lions .Turere who grew up at a home near Nairobi National Park ,tried out many things to save their livestock from lions from the age of 11 ,until he discovered that lions fear lights,giving birth to his current ”Lion Lights” system” .

The “Lion Lights” system” has been embraced by a number of families in Kenya  ,especially around the national park.

Richard Turere’s  “Lion Lights” system”  is helping ranchers deal with the lions  in a way  that no longer has to involve shooting them.

Richard Turere  was invited to Southern California for this week’s 2013 TED Conference, where he explained his invention to the great audience.

He also received a scholarship to Brookhouse International School in Nairobi, where he now studies.
