Eleven students have dodged death after their classroom collapsed atop them as they were attending their lessons.

The students from Bugoma Primary school in Bugiri district were inside the classroom attending their lesson when rain started falling and heavy winds blew. The classroom is said to have collapsed on the students and were severely injured.

The classrooms were made of wood and bound together by nails. The nails and wood penetrated the children’s skin and injured them severely. Some of the students who were injured were Alex and Bogere. Primary six students were affected.

According to the school headmaster, Mr. Ochom, students now do not have were to study from but said the school administration will join hands with the parents to build the collapsed class room again.

The students were rushed to hospital to receive medical attention.
