A number of women in Kula-kula village Ngai Sub County in Oyam district have criticized their husbands for acting irresponsibly and spending a lot of time playing cards instead of engaging in productive work to support their  families.

The women also accused their husbands of selling off livestock in a bid to get money for gambling and buying alcohol.

The women, who moved along the streets in Oyam town, led by one ,Jane Pica Akello Said that they were raising their children alone without the help of their husbands.

Pica called on their local leaders to find ways  of stopping their husbands from drinking and gambling.
