A woman in Bukomansimbi district reportedly survived being eaten by cannibals  during the festive season .Isha Namirembe had taken  her  child to be named at her inlaws home when she realised there was a plot of eating her up alive.

Namirembe told police that she saw a group of family members and neighbors  pouncing of her intending to bite her but she managed to escape from their hands.

Still puzzled by their decision,she  heard her mother in-law telling the rest of her colleagues how fatty she -Namirembe was describing her fit to be eaten immediately .

She ran for a great distance only to release  that  she had left her kid  in the hands of the  alleged cannibals.She ran to police which came along with a multitude of people which interrogated the Nsanzire family over their attempt to eat Namirembe.

Nsanzire claimed that Namirembe had a mental problem and the scratches she had on her body were as a result of the ropes they had used to prevent her from hurting herself.

Namirembe’s brother however refuted his in-laws claims that her sister was mad.Kalungu police which was handling the case said they will test Namirembe’s Mental health and if she is not mad ,the family will be charged for trying to eat a person.
