Police in Mukono has rescued a woman suspected to have connived to steal a 5 months baby.

Angel Nanyondo 20, has been caught red handed with a baby girl to Racheal Nakimuli a resident of Kitete village Mukono central division.

It is alleged that the baby’s mother had gone to the shop but when she returned she caught the suspect jumping out of her house with the baby plus some clothes and a mobile phone.

The mother made an alarm and Nanyondo took off with the clothes and dumped the baby but has been netted and lynched and taken to the area chairperson Timothy Jingo from where police has rescued her for safe custody.

The suspect has however denied the allegations saying she had just passed by to change her clothes after being picked from Kame valley market by a bodaboda rider and later chased her away after realizing that she was HIV positive.
