Police in Mukono are hunting for a woman who allegedly cut off her husband’s private parts and is still on the run.

The suspect has been identified as Evelyn Amukwasize 25 a resident of  Upper Nabuti in Mukono central division.

It is alleged that Amukwasize yesterday chopped off  the private parts of her husband ,Emmanuel Katushabe and left them dangling claiming that he was cheating on her with another lover.

Katushabe explains that his wife is said to have found a missed call on his phone from an unknown person whom she suspected to be his lover.

He adds that after supper he went to sleep but was waken up by great pain and on checking, he discovered that his private parts were cut off and his wife was nowhere to e found.

The officer in charge of crime investigations Mukono police station ,Henry Mugumya has said that they have started hunting for the suspect and she will be charged with attempted murder.Katushabe  is currently at Albert hospital undergoing treatment.
