Worker’s MP, Sam Lyomoki’s case file has been handed over to the state prosecutor to see if the state has a case against him.
This comes in the wake of his arrest. Police has said he will not be released until the prosecutor finalizes going through the case file and concluding on the matter. The MP is currently being held in custody at Kireka Police post.
Lyomoki was arrested yesterday, Tuesday 15th at WBS TV in the morning. He was arrested in connection to summons he promised he will not honor. Lyomoki had been summoned together with other MPs through the speaker’s office over statements he uttered during Cerinah Nebanda‘s burial which is said was intended to incite the public into acts of violence.
He said its unfair to arrest people who were trying to get what killed Nebanda.
