The dead bodies in Lyantonde district main hospital have chased away patients who come to receive treatment at the hospital.

The dead bodies in the district hospital mortuary, according to patients and those taking care of the patients are rotting and stinking so bad. Patients packed up their belongings saying they go to the hospital to get treatment but instead they will get more diseases from there.

According to an official from the hospital, Kyeyune Fred Zziwa, the hospital is not allowed to bury dead bodies of people before information about them is clearly figured out. He went on to add that the hospital has to wait for a period of three days before burying any dead body.

Despite this, the mortuary is said to be very old and does not live up to the modern standards. It was allegedly built during the time of King David Chwa in the 1900′s.
