A prostitute killed her one year old child because the child was preventing her from excelling at her job.

Christine Amongin from Ngora district, Adule village killed her one year old child saying ever since she gave birth, she no longer gets enough customers which is a hindrance. She claimed the father of the child denied the responsibility of the child which made it hard for her to deal with the situation alone.

The 17 year old girl who did not have any remorse for the crime she had just committed said it was better for the child to be dead than alive.

It is said that Amongin strangled the child to death.

The body of the child was taken to the district central hospital mortuary where it will be removed and taken for burial in Adule village.

Amongin is currently being held at the police station where murder charges await her.
