President Yoweri Museveni has blamed the rampant corruption in the country to civil servants .Museveni cited Officials in the Office of the Prime Minister who swindled money meant to develop Northern Uganda.

Museveni  was  addressing NRM MPs in Kyankwanzi said that Mps have been perpetrating corruption  in different government bodies.He however hailed some NRM cadres who unveiled the fraud in the office of the Prime Minister.

The president noted that he will see to it that the Anti-Corruption Amendment Bill 2012 which is set to be tabled before parliament in February is effected such that the property of the corrupt is confiscated.

Finance Minister Maria Kiwanuka last week  issued a Certificate of Financial  implication to allow MPs to table a Private Member’s Bill, the Anti-Corruption Amendment Bill 2012, seeks to confiscate the property of those convicted of Corruption.
