Residents in the districts of Pader, Nwoya, Amuru, and Lamwo will now have to celebrate since Post Bank has announced their plans to extend their branches there.
This will be the first bank in the 4 districts in Acholi sub region.
Amuru and Nwoya district chairpersons of recent said that most of the civil servants in their district normally suffer in Gulu district at every end of the month queuing in lines to access their salaries.
Patrick Oryema the Nwoya Boss said that most of the Banking Institutions have delayed to operate in Nwoya district.
Oryema adds that Nwoya district is missing loan schemes from the banking institutions and that the revenue base will ever remain small because there are no banking institutions.
The Post Bank regional business manager Vincent Oneka said that they were looking for a piece of land in each of the districts to set up the structures for the bank.
Oneka encouraged the local residents in Acholi sub region to entrust Post Bank with their money when they open up their branches in their districts.
