Police has summoned four MPs through the speaker of parliament for questioning before the Police Special Investigations Unit in Kireka, a Kampala suburb.
The Mps including Theodore Sekikubo ,Semuju Nganda ,Sam Lyomoki and Betty Nambooze will will be interrogated over the statements they made over the late Cerinah Nebanda’s death ,according to a police statement signed by the deputy director of the police Criminal Investigations directorate Geoffrey Musana .
Police allege that the four MPs together with two others who were charged earlier made statements which incited the public over the death of Nebanda.
Masaka Municipality MP ,Mathias Mpuga has hailed police for acting professionally to summon the Mps through the speaker of parliament.Addressing journalists on Tuesday morning Mpuga said that other MPs will gladly escort the summoned Mps for questioning on respective days through out the week.
