PLE results have been released by the Education Minister, Jessica Alupo after being handed over to her by the UNEB chairman, Fagil Mandy.
About 480,000 students, out of 565,663 students who registered for the examinations have passed as opposed to the approximately 444, 000.
Results of over 1,600 students have been held. Results of 43 schools have been held due to malpractice ranging from external assistance.
Boys performed better than girls; girls failed more than boys in 2012.
Some of the best schools this year include Wakiso, Kampala, among others.
Some of the worst districts performing districts include Iganga, Kaliro, Kween, Luka, Kayunga and Kamuli among others.
About 800, 000 UNEB scouts over saw the sitting of the examinations.
Head teachers are to pick up the results from the UNEB offices in Ntinda beginning today at 2:00pm.
