Primary Leaving Education (PLE) results are going to be released today at 10:00am at the Statistics House.

The PLE results will be released by the Ministry of Education minister, Jessica Alupo after UNEB (Uganda National Examinations Board) hands them over. Some of the schools known to perform well are Greenhill Academy, Kampala Parents School, St. Savio, Bright Grammar in Masaka and City Parents among others.

jessica alupo565,663 students were registered by the examinations board, UNEB of which 463,332 pupils were UPE candidates, while 102,331 are non-UPE candidates.  1,000 special needs candidates were registered to sit for the exams and about 70 prisoners based at Luzira Prison are also registered for the examinations.

The results will be released just as students prepare to go for their secondary level education with the new academic year beginning next month, February. UNEB released a statement on Friday announcing that the PLE results will be released Monday morning, today.

Ahead of the coming academic year, selection of students who are going to be admitted in Senior One will begin next week. Students will be expected to report for their first term on February 4.
