The Pioneer Easy Bus company is going to change its transport paying system from paying in cash at the entrance to electronically paying the fare.

According to one of the owners of the company, John Masada, the new transport paying system will take effect next month, February. Customers will be required to pay using Smart Cards which will be provided by service providers across Kampala.

The new development came about after ten employees were fired over allegations of theft. They were said to have stolen the money which is collected upon entrance of the bus before take off.

Not only will the customers be issued with and easier and a much less crowded paying system, they will also be given and opportunity to plan for their fares by buying ahead of time enough Smart Cards to help them travel without restraint.
