The 2013 Oscar Nominations have been announced today by actors Seth MacFarlane and Emma Stone.
The nominations have come two weeks early. The producers of the Oscars show, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said they would pay tribute to the James Bond Movie franchise which has marked 50 years. The last James Bond movie was SkyFall which was ranked the highest selling James Bond movie ever.
Some of the top directing nominees include Steven Spielberg for “Lincoln,” Kathryn Bigelow for “Zero Dark Thirty,” Ang Lee for “Life of Pi,” Tom Hooper for “Les Miserables” and Ben Affleck for “Argo” who all of whom were nominated for Directors Guild of America awards. Below are some of the nominees for the various categories.
