NRM MPs have traveled to Kyankwanzi ahead for the party retreat scheduled to take place beginning today 11th January to 22nd January.

The retreat will discuss the party’s performance since it they were sworn into power in 1986.

National Resistance Movement (NRM) members of parliament were summoned to Kyankwanzi on January 2nd by President Museveni for a party retreat for 10 days.

Some MPs have vowed not to attend the retreat which they say as nothing serious to discuss. Among these is MP Muhammad Nsereko who said going to the retreat is a waste of time as they will only break what has been put up, nothing more.

The retreat will also discuss, among other things the member’s discipline.

MPs are traveling by one bus only which some MPs are saying is dangerous and seeking to travel by their own vehicles. The retreat, which is said to cost sh400m will only cater for the meals and up keep during the retreat for the MPs only not allowances which in turn has angered some MPs.
