Members of parliament of National Resistance Movement (NRM) have been summoned by the party leader, President Museveni at Kyankwanzi to assess the performance of the part in reference to service delivery.

The MPs will convene in Kyankwanzi beginning January 11th to January 21st. The party retreat will be held at the National Leadership Institute.

Acting Chief Whip, Rose Namayanja confirmed yesterday saying,  “We shall be scrutinising our performance in the various sectors.” In addition, ministries will be expected to present status reports, which members will discuss.  President Yoweri Museveni is expected to attend the retreat.

They will also be looking at implementation of the NRM manifesto “sector by sector” in addition to discussing the internal wrangles in the party.

The retreat will also discuss functionality of the NRM party structures. “Most of the structures are dead. The village, parish, sub-county organs are no longer in operation,” one MP said.
