NRM MPs are angry after receiving news that there will be no allowances granted to them for the party retreat which is set to take place in Kyankwanzi.
Several MPs, who hid their identities were angry at because they were not going to receive any allowances for their retreat in Kyankwanzi which is supposed to last for ten days. The retreat, according to the NRM Deputy Chief, David Bahati, will discuss the party’s manifesto and revise it further not Cerinah Nebanda’s death as predicted or the increased party divisions.

Acting Chief Whip, Rose Namayanja
The MPs, who are going to travel by bus are also complaining saying the retreat did not have enough time to be prepared for. They claim that travelling by bus, and one bus at that is not safe but they have their own cars which they can fuel and travel individually instead of as one.
The retreat will only cater for their food and stay in Kyankwanzi, nothing more, something that has clearly rattled the MPs.
President Museveni of National Resistance Movement (NRM) summoned all MPs belonging to the ruling party to Kyankwanzi for a retreat on January 2nd. Acting Chief Whip, Rose Namayanja confirmed the retreat saying, “We shall be scrutinizing our performance in the various sectors.” In addition, ministries will be expected to present status reports, which members will discuss. President Yoweri Museveni is expected to attend the retreat.
