Members of NRM who are now attending the party retreat at Kyankwanzi have put the caucus leadership on pressure to sack all rebel party MPs.
According to the source in Kyankwanzi, NRM members quizzed the party leadership as to why rebel members are not be sacked.
“You should sack these members from our party. We are tired of them. They have continued destabilizing the development of our party. The party can run without them. We want these people to be sacked before the end of this retreat” One angry MP noted
The source also told us that Mr Museveni has refused to respond to the angry members about the sacking of rebel MPs.
The source further said that the party secretary General, Amama Mbabazi told the members that if the party sacks these MPs, they will lose their seats in parliament of which they might lose the seats if they go back in by-elections.
The rebel MPs who the members want to be sacked include; Muhammed Nsereko, Theodore Sekikubo, Vicent Kyamadidi, Wilfred Niwagaba and Barnabas Tinkasimire among others.
