The burial of entrepreneur James Mulwana took place yesterday in his village in Masiriba where he was laid to rest with the whole country watching and weeping along with his family.

museveni mulwana 1Present at the burial was President Museveni who not only seemed older but was also devastated with the death of Mulwana. “Mr Mulwana knew the usefulness of Buganda, Uganda and Africa, and that is why I worked with him. He was not like others who were stuck with tribal lines like Ffe Banyankole or Ffe nga Baganda (we Banyankole or we Baganda),” the President said.

After the death of Mulwana, the President wrote on his Facebook page saying, “I am deeply saddened by the news about the death of Mr Mulwana James. I extend my deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and all Ugandans for the loss of such a wonderful man. May His Soul Rest in peace,” he wrote. President Museveni in 2006 gave Mulwana the Presidential Transformers Appreciation Award.

museveni mulwanaThe sentimental burial saw his children and wife speak out about their dead father saying. “His humility and respect to all is something that we will carry on,” said Geoffrey Mulwana, his only son. His wife, Sarah said, “Each time he travelled, he returned with something. And if it turned out that he wanted something, he would go out and get it. James was my friend. He trusted me and also told me 99 per cent of his secrets.”
