By Our Reporter

NRM rebel MPs ,Buyaga county Barnabas Tinkasimire and Theodore Sekikubo have said that they are going to carry their own food from their homes to the retreat  since they have no trust in the party which branded them ‘rebels’ .

Despite of the 400M shillings which NRM put a side to facilitate the members while in a 10day retreat, the members say that they will not use any thing provided by the party.

They have also threatened to sleep in their vehicles with a fear that they might be poisoned from beds.

“Since poison is now rampant in the country, we have to protect ourselves by not eating every thing that we come across. We are also in fear that some body can also poison you from the bed that’s why we are not even going to use the beds organized for us by the party. We prefer sleeping in our vehicles for our safety” The MPs noted

Four of the five rebel MPs have promised to attend the party retreat in Kyankwanzi apart from Nsereko who said that he will not attend.

Those who have been accredited include Barnabas Tinkasimire, Theodore Sekikubo, Wilfred Niwagaba and Vincent Kyamadidi.
Nsereko  on Monday this week said that he feels uncomfortable to be in Kyankwanzi when he knows that whatever they discuss in such retreats is never implemented.

He added that the retreat is useless and therefore he will instead use the time of the retreat collecting developmental views from his constituency.

He however said that it’s his personal decision not to attend the retreat saying that he does not discourage other members from attending.

Hon Nsereko further said that unless the party focuses on issues that affect Ugandans such retreats will remain irrelevant to the majority Ugandans.

Over 300 NRM members will gather at national leadership institute in Kyankwazi to discuss party issues.
