Members of parliament who have been struggling to get signatures from their fellow MPs have gathered at  the speaker’s office waiting to submit their petition.

MPs who includes Theodore Ssekikubo, Medard Sseggona, Mohammed Nsereko, Joseph Sewungu, Mariam Nalubega, and Gerald Karuhanga among others have convened to speaker’s office ready to present their petition to recall the House to discuss the arrest of legislators over the death of 24year old law maker Cerinah Nebanda.

The source told us that speaker Kadaga is now driving from her constituency in Kamuli to come and receive the petition.

Hon Medard Sseggona one of the lead petitioners told reporters at parliament that they are now well prepared, awaiting for the speaker to present their petition and shame the Ugandans who have been saying that they don’t have the required signatures to recall the House.

He also alleges that there is a plan by government to sanction charges of treason against some members through the DPP, according to their own intelligence.
