Minister Tadwong told reporters at parliament that the MPs who have been looked for by police made statements in their own capacity regarding the death of Cerina Nebanda that required them to answer personally and not collectively as parliament. “It is unfair to collect signatures from members who were not party to their utterances to come out and defend them” Minister Tadwong confirmed

The minister added that it is normally during recess members get time off to attend to constituency developmental projects and is costly in terms of allowances to be paid to MP to come out of recess and leave out their scheduled activities to come and debate a matter that is being resolved by different arms of government.

“It has become a habit of a few members of parliament to politicize every issue and create a crisis after with intention to deny government an opportunity to implement its manifesto and putting the country on uncalled for tension.Mps require time to debate developmental issues affecting our nation rather than speculations” Minister Tadwong noted

“We call upon MPs to be aware of this unfortunate pattern of events that are intended to disrupt the work of government, parliament and constituencies” He added

The MPs who opposes parliament to be recalled includes; Minister Richard Tadwong,Bagiire Vicent,Arinaitwe Rwakajara,Hatwib Katoto,Dr Kenneth Omona and David Bahati among others.
