The western youth MP Gerald Karuhanga has expressed dissatisfaction to the government of Uganda for using tax payer’s money to pay back the donor money which was swindled in the prime ministers office by individuals.

Hon Karuhanga told reporters at parliament that government earmarked 21billion shillings to replace donor money which was misused in prime ministers office by selfish individuals.

“It’s a totally unacceptable to use tax payers money to replace the money which was swindled by individuals. We want those people whom cued  that money to pay it  back themselves  not  drawing it from the  tax payers money,” Hon Karuhanga noted

Hon Karuhanga further threatened that parliament will not pass any supplementary budget regarding the refund of donor’s money.

“Ugandans pay tax for the improvement of standards of living and infrastructural services. We don’t want out tax to be also misused in defending the thieves” He added

“They used the money for procuring Mercedes Benz for self use and travels to Israel. We want donors to refuse that money and force government also to force those people who swindled that money to bring it back themselves. It’s very sad to use our money to refund on behalf of individuals. This government is characterized of thieves .We should bring them to books than protecting them” The angry legislator maintained

“We are not going to seat back. We want president Museveni and his colleagues pack their bags and go to Rwakitura, we shall visit them for consultations. We are tired of thieves in this country. Enough is enough” He added

Over 50 billion shilling which was meant for PRDP in northern Uganda was misused by individuals in the office of prime minister. Several countries like Germany,Sweden Ireland ,Britain  Denmark and Norway cut funding to Uganda over the misuse of these funds which were meant to develope northern Uganda.
