Workers MP Dr Sam Lyomoki, has said that he will not respond to police summons because it is just a diversion from the core matter of the death of their colleague.
While addressing reporters at parliament Lyomoki said that it ’is unfair to arrest people who were trying to get what killed Nebanda.
Hon Lyomoki also said that he is ready to appear before any independent body on this matter but not before the institution of police which has lost moral authority over Nebanda’s death.
Lyomoki has just received fresh summons from police through the speaker’s office over the statement he allegedly uttered during late Cerina Nebanda‘s burial which was intended to incite the public into acts of violence.
Other MPs whom police interrogated by police over the late Nebanda includes; Betty Nambooze, Threodore Sekikubo, Mohammed Nsereko, Chris Baryomunsi, Hatwib Katoto and Medard Bitekyorezo .
Some MPs were given court bails while other were released on police bond.
Dr Lyomwoki is among the parliament doctors who withdrew from the investigations on what killed Hon Nebanda after the Dr Onzivuwa’s arrest by police.
