Hillary Onek  ,the Internal Affairs Minister has been discharged from Hospital .The minister suffered a stroke and was rushed out of the country for better treatment.

Now according to a statement issued by the Minister of Information and National Guidance ,Mary Karooro Okurut on Wednesday ,the minister was already discharged and is now an out patient.

“The Minister for Internal Affairs Hon. Hillary Onek was discharged from Medanta Hospital in India on Saturday 19th 2013 and is now an outpatient recovering tremendously.” Reads a statement issued from the information ministry

Meanwhile Minister Okurut added that the first deputy minister ,Eriya Kategaya has improved tremendously .

“His family and doctors this morning confirmed that Hon. Kategaya is responding well to medication. Unfortunately, some people especially in the social media continue to report wrong information.”

The minister has also warned the media against circulating false information about the minster’s health.

“We appeal to those churning out such falsehoods to restrain themselves…” said the minister
