The minister of information and national guidance Marry Karoro Okurut have castigated to the social media who have continued to report wrongly about the first deputy prime minister, Eriya Kategaya.

In her statement she issued out to the public minister Okurut noted that Kategaya’s family and doctors  confirmed that he is responding well to medication in Nairobi.

Unfortunately, some people especially in the social media continue to report wrong information yet doctors are still doing their work.

“The First Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Eriya Kategaya is still in Nairobi Hospital and he is improving. Unfortunately, some people especially in the  media continue to report wrong information” Minister Okurutu noted

“I appeal to those churning out such false information to restrain themselves” She added

“I also urge Ugandans to stay calm as doctors do their professional work. The social media is creating unnecessary anxiety and apprehension among members of the public” the minister stressed.
