Michael Ezra owes Uganda Revenue Authority Shs2.5b .The Uganda businessman and philanthropist was listed among the major tax defaulters this week with a debt of shs2,504,785,563.
Ezra together with other tax defaulters have been given seven days to clear the debts or face the law.
“As such, 314 taxpayers have been put on notice to “settle their outstanding tax arrears within seven (7) days” from today. Failure to pay or enter “an agreeable repayment plan with URA by Thursday 17 of January 2013”, the statement added, will lead to prosecution “and/or enforced upon without further notice…” reads a statement from URA

Michael Ezra Mulyoowa, globally known as Michael Ezra, is the Founder of Ezra Track Team Board ETTB, a Kampala-based sports philanthropic financing and talent search agency.
He is a philanthropist known for his donations towards sporting causes in his home country. He is believed to be one of the wealthiest Africans alive.
Ezra made his first public appearance with a 12 million Ugandan shilling sponsorship of the Uganda athletic team headed for the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland.
