Buganda Kingdom has resolved to rebuild the Lubiri Mosque which was set ablaze by unknown people over the previous weekend.
During an emergency meeting that was held at Prince Khassim Nakibinge Kakungulu’s home in Kibuli ,Katikkiro Eng J.B. Walusimbi assured the Muslim society that the Kingdom is set to rebuild the Lubiri Mosque to contain any conflict between the Muslim Society and the Kingdom.
The Buganda officials also called for a thorough investigation into the matter such that the culprits can be brought to book.A fund was set also up in a bid to construct a new Mosque .
Among the officials who attended the meeting included the 1st deputy Katikkiro Amb. E.L Ssendaula, 2nd deputy Katikkiro Hajji Muhamood Ssemmambo Ssekimpi, Ministers Prof. Fredrick Masagazi Masaazi, Ahmed Lwasa, Ssimbwa Bunnya, Twaha Kawaase, Israel Mayengo, Speaker Hajji Kaddu Sserunkuuma the Supreme Mufti Sheik Zubair Kayongo among others.
