A 32 -year -old man in Senegal has died after setting himself ablaze on Monday .
Cheikh Mbaye set himself on fire in front of president Macky Sall’s official residence in the capital, Dakar claiming that his life was better off during the reign of ex-President Abdoulaye Wade, the local media reported.
Rescuers found Mbaye in the middle of flames and rushed him to Dakar hospital with severe wounds .He was reported dead on Tuesday.
Cases of self immolation have been on the rise recently and are usually caused by frustration over unemployment.In Senegal this is the first case during the reign of president Macky Sall.
Another serious incident happened in February 2011 where two Senegalese lost their lives after setting themselves on fire due to unemployment and an increasing cost of living.
