West Nile regional Police spokesperson Josephine Angucia has said that they have arrested a 50 year old man suspected to have burned the MTN generator.

Angucia identified the suspect as Noah Wani, a resident of Belaming village in Moyo district.

Police suspects that the man could have burnt the MTN Generator as a way of resolving a land dispute which was between him and the MTN Company.

The generator is said to cost between 45 to 50 Million Uganda shillings

A security officer on duty who could not be identified by  press time  was also arrested.

The west Nile regional Police spokesperson  has called up on the local residents to find better ways of resolving land wrangles than becoming violent and destroying property.

The hearing of the case is slated for January 30th 2013.
