By Jumah Nsubuga

Members of parliament on local government committee have today agreed to summon KCCA supervision director Ms Naggayi Sununa together with her counterpart Nalongo Bifirimbi and the head of monitoring and evaluation in KCCA Jacob Lugambuli to explain how they got jobs in KCCA.

The decision to summon the three authority officials came after the lord mayor Elias Lukwago told the MPs that those people were given jobs in KCCA without enough qualifications.

Lukwago was appearing at the committee with a team of counselors.

The lord mayor told MPs that the KCCA head of monitoring and evaluation Mr Jacob Lugambuli is a p.7 drop out while Ms Naggayi Sununa and Nalongo Bifirimbi who directs the supervision department didn’t go to school at all.

“Some people lack education papers yet hold big positions in KCCA.They were recruited by the executive director. We also don’t know how they were recruited. They are incompetent but they are staff of the authority”Lukwago noted

“Mr Lugambuli was given powers to arrest people illegally. He is also manning the torture chambers where the KCCA enforcement officers grill people from”Lukwago added

“Those people should come and explain how they entered in KCCA.Some are there on the mercy of the executive director but don’t have qualifications to make them work in KCCA.We need them here and answer some questions. Even the KCCA councilors should also come and tell us why they don’t agree with the mayor who was elected by the people” said Hon Kasibante Moses a member of the committee
