Buikwe West Member of Parliament , Sali Baker has expressed his disappointment to parliament over the condition Kawolo general hospital is in. The MP says the hospital which serves a big population is in a very sorry state.
Hon Baker told reporters at parliament Wednesday that the hospital lacks essential drugs, the X-ray machine is not functioning and lacks enough medical personnel .
“The hospital has only one medical doctor. We need more staff to attend to the patients. We also need another ambulance because the one we have can not afford the work of the hospital. The Hospital also needs to be renovated before the situation worsens” He stressed
“The hospital attends to over 150 patients daily but it does not have running water, power is always on and off and even toilets are very bad to be used by patients” The MP
