Andrew ‘Desh’ Kananura is to appear in court again today to answer to fresh charges of obtaining money in false pretense.

It is believed that Kananura obtained a total amount of sh340m from Sema Properties owner, Hajj Sulaiti Ssemakula in 2011 to purchase him a car but to date, he has not been able to deliver it. Hajj Ssemakula has since been demanding for the car in vain.

Kananura is to appear at Buganda Road Court to answer to the charges.

At the moment, Kananura is on remand at Luzira prison over charges of murder involving a waiter at his bar, Panamera in Ntinda. Kananura was arrested on January 18th as he entered the country from the UK where it is said he had been in hiding after the murder of Abdu Katerega, a senior six leaver who was looking for his university tuition and worked at is bar as a waiter.
