MV Kalangala Ferry got a mechanical problem early this week ,and the suspension of its operations has brought work of traders who conduct business from Kampala ,Entebbe to Kalangala district to a standstill.
Ministry of Works spokesperson, Susan Kataike says the ministry will take a few days to rectify the mechanical problem.The ferry transports over 150 people from Nakiwogo landing site in Entebbe to Kalangala two times a day .
On Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday passengers were seen stranded after arriving at the landing site only to find it packed.They have been advised to use Port Bell where there is a functioning ferry.
